The Lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of representatives Abuja, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has sent his condolences to the Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi: The Olubadan-in-council, councils of Baales and Chief, all sons and daughters of Ibadan on the transition of our foremost traditional ruler, The Olubadan of IbadanLand; Oba (Dr.) Samuel Odulana Odugade (the 1st ) who has gone to join his forefathers.

 

The Late Oba Odulana remains a torch bearer, unifying factor and peace loving monarch whose ascendancy to the throne as the 39th custodian of our culture and heritage since 2007 has remain remarkable in the annals of Ibadan history. He remained resolute in his call for the creation of Ibadan State which he believed will channel the birth of a new Ibadan in terms of economic, social, political and educational reforms for his people, Hon Adesina added. 

 

This is a personal loss for me as the representative of The Late King in the House of Representatives, however I am consoled in the noble fact that The Late Olubadan of IbadanLand lived a good life, worthy of emulation and passed on at a ripe age of 101 years.
