The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Abuja, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina a.k.a Omo Oloore extended the reach of his Omo Oloore Educational Support Scheme on Friday 27th May, 2016 with a Quiz/Debate Competition where winners went away with Desktop computers,Laptop Computers,Trophies,Textbooks, School bags,Mathematical sets and other gift items worth over a million Naira.

It was however the 1st ever FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS DEBATE AND QUIZ COMPETITION, a platform for primary and secondary school pupils from public and private schools in the constituency to showcase their speaking and cerebral skills.

Hon. Adesina’s choice of 27th May coincided perfectly with a day the world is celebrating Children’s Day. The scenario reflected his die-hard stance, that the development of the younger generation remains an integral part of his political mission and legislative vision.

The highlight of the event was however when Hon Dapo Lam Adesina announced the award of scholarship to a student from Lagelu Grammar School who came out as the best student during the competition.

The rich outcome of the event pointed at the fact that there is more to come from Hon. Adesina’s Omo Oloore Educational Support Scheme. Recall he recently declared that his constituency would soon witness an educational revolution. He has already put himself at the fore-front of educational empowerment, by uplifting brilliant but indigent pupils in the state.

Last August, the vibrant legislator, purchased and distributed 2015 WAEC GCE forms for prospective candidates selected from secondary schools within the two local governments that make up the federal constituency.

Just like his late father, Alhaji Lam Adesina, a renowned Educationist and former School Principal, who later rose to become Oyo State Governor, Hon Dapo-Lam, as he is fondly called, believes that Education is the key to unlocking the world’s treasure box. The more reason why he devotes so much to his Educational Support Scheme in addition to his larger Omo Oloore Empowerment programmes.

On Children’s Day celebration the federal lawmaker charged governments at all levels to pay more attention to education and advised parents to invest in the education of their children, stressing that “ when you invest sufficiently in your child via education, you have thoroughly secured a future for yourself and generations yet unborn”.

It would be recalled that he recently visited St. Lukes College, Molete where he motivated the school management, teachers and pupils, donating a Power Generating Set to the principal’s office and leather balls for the pupils sporting development.

Also Omo Oloore finds it hard to hide his soft spot for teachers. He recently visited a hospitalized teacher of St. Lukes College, Molete, Mr Nasiru who slumped in the classroom while on duty and paid his hospital bills, while he also donated food stuff to the teachers and encouraged them not to relent.

Promising that he remains committed to fulfilling the electoral promises he made to the state NUT, he restated his key words to the teachers: “The future of our Country belongs to the teachers because in your hands lie the raw materials to be groomed, shaped and prepared to take up responsibilities”

His efforts have however not gone unnoticed as Education stakeholders from the Ministry of Education in Oyo State,NUT,ANCOPPS and AOPSHON have all commended him for his compassion and the value he places on Education.

At the end of the highly charged encounters which had over 40 schools participate the following schools emerged winners:
