Honourable Member Representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency at the 8thNational Assembly, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina on Thursday 3rd December met with some 50 emerging leaders from 20 African Countries on innovative ways to foster civil society and political society relationship.

The Bridging Societies Summit with the theme “Mobilizing Democratic Forces: Civil Society and Political Society” was organized around deliberations and insightful conversations with a view to enabling participants share knowledge, skills and experiences in building democracy in their respective countries.

Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina in his discuss charged Civil Society Organizations to always checkmate, challenge and constructively criticize the political society in the quest for an egalitarian society and also endeavor to spread their reach beyond major cities and capitals while also extending an invitation to them to be a part of his upcoming town hall meeting.

The meeting with the major aim of developing relationships of cross-border solidarity was facilitated by World Movement for Democracy, a global network of democrats who come together for mutual support and cooperation, in partnership with Youngstars Foundation, and the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement.
