The House of Representatives Committee on Agricultural Production and Services and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture has resolved to use agricultural avenues to create employment among unemployed youths in the country.

They also committed to tackling the endangering problem of rice smuggling that has been ravaging the industry. This understanding was reached at an interactive session between the committee, which Hon Dapo Lam-Adesina is a member and officials of the Agriculture Ministry led by its Minister, Chief Audu Ogbeh on Tuesday December 1st.

Hon Dapo-Lam a graduate of Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ibadan, spoke on the vast opportunities inherent in the sector and the need to consciously move agriculture forward as it will not only create jobs for the Youths but also make them economically independent. He also encouraged the Minister who he said he has a lot of respect for due to his integrity,while using the opportunity to pray for the success of the Minister as this will rub off positively on the numerous unemployed youth in the country which is his generation.
